Ofsted Report

Tiffin School is highly acclaimed for consistently achieving outstanding academic results, whilst also providing an extraordinary range of co-curricular activities, as we aim to develop the all-round attributes of the young people we nurture. Indeed, the results in 2023 were well above the national average and our students also won a record number of 34 places at Oxbridge.

Pupils have exemplary attitudes towards their learning… They behave exceptionally well in class and around the school. Pupils treat each other and staff with respect and kindness
Ofsted, May 2022
Leaders are ambitious for every pupil. Pupils work hard to realise these aspirations across the curriculum and achieve well. The work produced by students in the sixth form is of an exceptional standard.
Ofsted, May 2022

Ofsted came to the School in May 2022, to inspect us under their new framework. They visited whilst Years 11 & 13 were on study leave, and all other year groups except Year 10 were on our internal exams week.

Consequently, they were only able to visit a tiny handful of lessons in just one year group, and did not see the usual rich co-curricular programme. They also had no public exam results to base any judgements on. It was therefore not a normal time to inspect a school. Their report is here.

Good Schools Guide

In Autumn 2024, The Good Schools Guide visited Tiffin to write an updated review of the school; you can read the full review here.

Feedback

At Tiffin, we welcome feedback from all stakeholders within our community and you can read some of the recent comments we have received below.

From day one, it was clear that Tiffin is dedicated to not only providing a high-quality education but also ensuring that each student feels welcomed and supported. I have seen first hand how much the teachers care about my child’s success, both academically and as a well-rounded individual.

I was really blown away yesterday by the warmth and positivity around the school and was over the moon to be offered the job.
New Member of Staff
As I depart for University, I would be very grateful if you would pass on my thanks to all the teachers who have helped and supported me over the last seven years and allowed me to make the most of the fantastic opportunities I have been given.
Ex Student
The school’s positive and inclusive atmosphere truly stands out. I must highlight how remarkable the celebration of ADHD individuals was—it was something I’ve never seen before. The school’s approach to recognising neurodivergent individuals as an asset is both rare and inspiring. It’s a clear reflection of how deeply the values of respect and kindness, are reinforced throughout the school community.
Current Parent
It is easy to take the school for granted, but what has kept me here are the superb opportunities and the stimulus many of the pupils provide.
Current Teacher
My son is very happy at Tiffin. In the last week of term he competed in the Rugby Dave Morris Cup, a Chess competition and the Public Speaking Finals. He is incredibly excited to try out for the upcoming Football season; the academics suit him and he loves the House System.
