Congratulations to Amelie who was crowned the winner of the Spanish Senior Category in the CLC Schools’ Essay Competition!

Amelie’s essay showed not only impressive research but great maturity and understanding of language and translation.  One of the markets commented that:

• “The ambition of writing it in Spanish and the fact that the quality of the language is impressive for an A level student.”
•  “I find the ideas original and personally developed, in a coherent and well supported research, illustrated by some effective examples.”
• “Translation challenges at many different levels are expresses as a whole eloquently and effectively both through the quotations and musical images.”

This is a brilliant achievement, especially amongst the many submissions the competition received.
