With the 1st XV and 2nd XV away in Italy, there was still plenty of sporting action taking place since half term, as teams across the school represented Tiffin with pride and energy.

A memorable moment this week as our girls 1XV played their first rugby match of the season, securing a fantastic 39–22 victory over Gravesend Grammar. Zahra, Avril and Leah were the standout players in what was an impressive and spirited team performance.

Our U18 and U16 badminton teams continued their excellent form with a strong win against Reeds last Wednesday. The team of Hugo, Ishaan, Dhruv, Sid, Shaan, and Jonathan were outstanding, winning all of their matches on the day. A great result that reflects the growing strength of badminton within the school.

The U16As delivered an exceptional team performance in their area cup fixture against Dulwich College on Tuesday. In a match of high intensity and determination, the boys were narrowly defeated but could hold their heads high after an outstanding effort from start to finish.

The U15As enjoyed a 24–12 home win over Glynn. Adam’s performance stood out as he led by example throughout a well-balanced team display.

The U14As faced a tough challenge against a very strong Glynn side, while the Bs were involved in a tightly contested encounter that provided plenty of valuable learning experiences. Louis and Alex were the standout players across both teams.

The U13A and B teams came up against top opposition in Glynn and King’s College Wimbledon over the past week. Despite challenging results, the boys showed fantastic commitment and resilience, with notable performances from Adam J, Jack L, and Ben P. The U13C and D teams played their first games of the season against King’s College Wimbledon, winning both convincingly. Alexander W, Advaith and Khrithik were particularly impressive on the day.

The youngest year group continued their excellent start to the season, with both the U12A and B teams winning away at Glynn over the weekend. Standout players were Jonathan for the As and Dylan for the Bs.

It has been a fantastic return to fixtures following half term, with our teams continuing to compete with skill, enthusiasm and true Tiffin spirit. From first victories and new experiences to hard-fought contests and moments of learning, there is much to be proud of as the season continues.
