After a great success at Skinner’s last week, the run club team traveled down to the southeast for Year 9 and below relays. The venue was a sun-blessed Guildford Grammar School sports field in Shalford.
Without the Stella Year 10s, there was a huge step up from the rest of the club. Dylan K blasted off the start to good effect, placing us in easily the top dozen of the field. Max C took up the baton and forged up to the top 10. Fresh from bronze success, Angus F forged further up the field of 70 teams. He was again well within the top 3 in years 7 and 8s on show, though a year 7 athlete himself. Bardy W clocked the fastest Tiffin time of the day and blasted us up to a very fine 4th position. Clocking up the only Tiffin sub-8 min time for the 2.2K double-lap course in the process.
The B team did well in their class. Again in the top 5 of all B teams. Joshua H, F Arthur A, Karam A, and Oscar L combined well in this respect. The C team did even better, being in the top 3 in their section. Oscar L, Casper V and Atticus V, and Maxim C did well here, especially as ¾ of the team had their debut for the school.
