Before announcing our winners it is worth taking a moment to reflect on just how remarkable the Tiffin House Championship really is: 18 different events varying from Sports, “General” (which really means cerebral – for example Chess, General Knowledge or Lit Quiz) and Performing Arts (with brilliant set pieces in Dance, Drama and wonderful Music performances); over 700 students have taken part in a house event this year, of all shapes and sizes and from all year groups. This is not normal! Perhaps as much as anything else at Tiffin, the House Championship really does epitomise our school values: learning (whether that be a new skill, or the value of teamwork, commitment, leadership), belonging (understanding that the collective can really be more powerful than individuals) and giving (by taking part, every student gives something back).

As to the results, as ever, the house championship ended with the glorious exhibition of athleticism, commitment and sheer determination that is Sports Day.

In Sports Day, Turing-Nightingale came 3rd (comfortably their best finish ever in this event), Kingsley-Montgomery 2nd and Darwin-Wilberforce 1st.

In the overall house championship, Livingstone continued their strong recent streak of results by finishing 3rd and Turing-Nightingale capped off a remarkable turn-around year finishing in 2nd place (their previous best ever finish was 5th). The year however belongs to Darwin-Wilberforce who have topped the leaderboard again – congratulations!

More importantly though, congratulations and thank you to everyone who has played their part in this wonderful competition.
