Now in its fourth decade, Tiffin in the Garden took place on 3 July 2026, hosted by the Performing Arts Department at Tiffin School and led by Director of Music, Sian Cadogan. This much-loved three-hour outdoor celebration marked the end of the academic year with an afternoon and evening of outstanding music and dance, set in the beautiful surroundings of the Head’s Garden and Main Hall. Families, pupils, staff, alumni, and friends of the school enjoyed a relaxed summer atmosphere while experiencing a diverse programme that showcased the exceptional breadth of talent across the Performing Arts.

Winners of this year’s Battle of the Bands competition performed throughout the event, treating audiences to favourites including Hotel California and Careless Whisper. They were joined by a wide range of Tiffin ensembles, including Swing Band, Function Band, Guitar Ensemble, the Year 8 Ensemble, Academy Orchestra, Flute Choir, Sinfonia, and Trebles Choir, who were delighted to perform alongside our prospective Year 7 choristers. The programme also featured musical excerpts by Hebe Church & Joseph Waymouth, first heard in the recent Key Stage 3 production of The Wind in the Willows.

The Tiffin Dance Company performed to a packed Main Hall, presenting an exciting programme of choreography across a wide variety of dance styles. Their energy, creativity, and technical excellence captivated the audience and were met with enthusiastic applause.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our TPA Year 7 parents and the Friends of Tiffin Music (FoTM) for once again providing the wonderful food, refreshments, and bar throughout the event. Their hard work not only enhanced the atmosphere of the evening but also raised valuable funds in support of music and performing arts at Tiffin School.
