This week, Year 12 took part in Progression Week, a programme designed to support students with every aspect of the university application process and life beyond Tiffin. Alongside starting their UCAS applications and receiving guidance on writing strong personal statements, students engaged in a wide-ranging programme of carousel sessions led by both internal staff and guest speakers.

These sessions covered CV writing and key decision-making around course choices, competitive applications, study abroad and placement years. Students also heard from a range of universities including  Imperial, Leeds, Cambridge, Oxford, King’s College London, UEA, Birmingham and Sheffield, gaining insight into subjects such as Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Law, Physics, MFL, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Chemistry and creative degrees. Additional input included admissions test preparation for the UCAT and LNAT, as well as student perspectives on university life and first-year experiences.

The week provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore future pathways in depth, hear directly from universities and professionals, and take important steps towards their post-18 destinations.
