Despite challenging weather conditions disrupting the early stages of the football season, several teams were still able to take to the field over the past week, producing a number of encouraging performances across football and rugby.
Last Wednesday, the 1st and 2nd XI travelled to Judd School for their opening fixtures of the season. The 1st XI gave an excellent account of themselves against strong opposition, with James M producing a series of outstanding saves and earning Man of the Match honours.

The 2nd XI were involved in a highly competitive encounter, with the scoreline remaining within a single goal until the final five minutes. Although the match finished 4–1 to Judd, it was a promising start to the season, with Zayd, Leo and Xav all delivering strong performances.
The U15s travelled to Gravesend Grammar for their Rugby Bowl quarter-final on Wednesday. Despite the result not going their way on the day, the team showed commitment and resilience, with Adam and Maxim delivering particularly strong performances.
The U14s travelled to Epsom College for their first football fixtures of the season, with four matches played across the age group. The As secured a 4–2 win, the Bs played out an exciting 4–4 draw, the Cs narrowly lost 3–2, and the Ds recorded an emphatic 9–0 victory. Standout performances came from Javier, Nathan C, Federico and William L in their respective matches.
Although the weather has limited opportunities early on, the determination and quality shown across teams bodes well for the weeks ahead. Best of luck to all sides as the season continues to gather momentum.
