For our Christmas class competition, students were challenged to work in teams to build the tallest possible tower that could support a marshmallow for a minimum of 15 seconds. Each group was given the same materials: 20 dry sticks of spaghetti, 100 cm of masking tape, one sheet of paper, and a single marshmallow.

The activity encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, and it was exciting to see the different designs the pupils created.

You might like to try this challenge at home over the holidays as a fun family activity—and see if you can beat Oliver and Soa, who built an impressive tower standing 69 cm tall while successfully supporting the marshmallow!
