On Wednesday, the squad returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory over Saint Cecilia’s. The effort and unity shown by the whole squad were commendable. The U16Bs showed real bravery in tough conditions, putting in a commendable team performance despite the result not going their way.
The U14A rugby team delivered a superb performance to defeat a very strong St Benedict’s side 12–7. From the first whistle, the boys showed real intent, matching the physicality of their opponents and refusing to give an inch in defence. St Benedict’s applied early pressure, but Tiffin’s defensive line held firm, with several important tackles preventing what looked like certain tries. As the first half progressed, the team grew in confidence, eventually breaking through with a well-worked move that saw Tiffin cross for the opening try.
The closing stages showcased the team’s determination and discipline. With St Benedict’s throwing everything into their attack, the boys defended heroically to see out a memorable 12–7 victory.
U14Bs gained a narrow but excellent victory, sealed by Lorion, who held his nerve to convert the match-winning kick at the death. Rishit and Simon also produced impressive performances. This marks the first U14 double victory over St Benedict’s since 2003, a fantastic achievement for the group.

U13As showed tremendous effort and heart against a powerful St Benedict’s side but ultimately fell short. Adam J was the standout performer. A dramatic and spirited comeback saw the B’s overturn a 15–5 halftime deficit to draw 20–20. Joseph P was outstanding throughout, while Elias made a significant impact off the bench in the second half.
