Yesterday, our new Year 9 Mental Health Ambassadors attended the Mental Health Conference at Tolworth Girls’ School. They joined other Mental Health Ambassadors from several local schools for a series of activities and an opportunity to learn more about mental health.
During the conference, students heard from the Samaritans and took part in practical, enjoyable activities that explored self-care, the mental health continuum, and how to support a friend who may be feeling low in mood, expanding their listening skills. They also began developing an action plan for how they can help reduce stigma and raise awareness of mental health across Tiffin.
Our students represented the school exceptionally well, showing maturity and enthusiasm throughout. We were very proud of their behaviour and engagement.
The conference was supported by our School Health Link Practitioner Veronica, along with Miss Stone, Mrs McNair and Mr Shaw.
