This week, Year 7 were treated to a fantastic visit by the author Simon Fox. Simon created a fun and engaging atmosphere which I hope inspired our students to read more and to write their own stories. At the end of the event, Simon signed copies of his books and gave every student a free bookmark.

‘In the visit by the author Simon Fox we were intrigued by the process of how to create a fully published book which can take multiple years to complete or just a few months. His brand new book Averlanche is super interesting, filled to the brim with action, kicking off from the very beginning. His knowledge of writing was super inspirational and kicked off the writing bug for us all. At the beginning he asked us if we wanted to write a book but I think if we were asked the same question at the end the number would have almost doubled!’
