We kicked off the month of May with two insightful assemblies delivered by Stem4 and the Samaritans, who spoke to Year 10 and Year 13 students. Both sessions focused on the theme of anxiety, particularly relevant during exam season and highlighted the importance of recognising changes in our own or others’ behaviour, as well as the value of talking and seeking support.

On Wednesday, we launched the first round of our life-sized chess competition. It was fantastic to see students embracing the spirit of community (this year’s theme), engaging in conversation and working together. We hope next week’s match will be even better!

We’re looking forward to welcoming back the Samaritans on Tuesday to speak with Year 9 as well as watching the Staff vs. Student football match!

Thank you to those who have already donated to the raffles; we continue to collect items for these until the end of the month. Raffle tickets can be purchased via ParentPay or in person during student tutor times throughout this month.
