In the last fixture of the year, a resplendent team travelled to the national standard Danes Hill event. With one of their traditionally strongest runners injured and another having to be called in at the last moment, there was slight trepidation that the inexperienced team might not produce the strongest collective performance.

Lining up at the start, the team held their position on the line well, ensuring a fabulous start. Max J got off the line strongly, leading the Tiffin arrowhead formation to the first turn. Though not in his usual top form, he still battled through the field to finish in 6th.

Anas B took over at the front and flew to a great 3rd place finish.

A storming return to form saw Adrian C close out on the scoring four after leading Freddie C around most of the challenging course. Freddie produced his best run of the season, narrowly pipping Adrian at the end to become our 3rd scorer.

Not to be outdone, our super subs Bardy W and the bewildered Dylan K, who was extracted from the classroom just minutes before jumping on the bus, blitzed the course and the opposition to place comfortably in the top half of the race.

Impressive performances from Year 7 runners competing against Year 8, especially from Dylan, who only knew he was running 3 minutes before the race.

An impressive win to end a very impressive year.
