Congratulations to the ladies cross county team who decimated the Tiffin record at the King Henry VIII relay in Coventry. Each athlete within the team, managed by Mrs Davis, was inside the old school record set 5 years ago, when the sixth form originally became mixed. Sophie B was 2 minutes inside the original record and the team shaved off 6 minutes from the 4 person team record. To score inside the top 30 schools in the country was our finest ladies achievement yet at this international competition. Rowan N, Sophie P and Elena K completed the quartet well.

The boys ran slightly slower than last year in the muddied conditions. Atharv P finished in the top 5 on what is considered the Queens stage first leg. He beat our best ever position on leg 1 by 5 places. A magnificent return from an equally magnificent athlete. Marcus H, Louis E, Pancho P, and Haruki N held the team together well for Josh to bring Cathal L’s well-managed team home.

The B team had an unprecedented triad of Year 8s. Max J, Frederic B and Anas B blasted round the course for top 3 times for Year 8 runners ever from this school. The incredible duo of Sebastian MZ and Omer T from Year 13, managed by Akaran N, formed the backbone of the team. Captain Andrew T had the honour of closing the event with the team’s best-ever placement, securing a top 10 finish among B teams in the country.
