Just as we thought Christmas was all wrapped up, the Tiffin Choir took a 3-day trip to Oxford to record a Christmas CD on the 7th-9th January.

We spent three days in the beautiful Keble chapel recording a range of glorious repertoire including compositions by Cecilia McDowall, Judith Weir, Jonathan Dove and our very own Oliver Tarney.

It was a fantastic few days of musicmaking, worthy of massive credit to all students involved, with our trebles combining with our sixth form SATB to form the newly recognised and almighty ‘Tiffin Choir’.

Following this rewarding first week back after the Christmas break, our trebles have since performed under Gustavo Dudamel’s baton in a dazzling performance of Mahler’s Third Symphony at the Barbican, while our Sopranos and Altos have been working on a piece of John Adams’, written as a musical commemoration for the victims of the 9/11 attacks.
