From 24th January until 26th January, multiple Tiffinians participated in this years Model United Nations (MUN) conference at Lady Eleanor Holles School. Many of our participants achieved incredible individual awards as well as team awards wile representing Ecuador and Switzerland throughout the conference. They competed against around 170 other students from 10 other schools, including schools from Paris and Abu Dhabi.
This MUN conference was focused on women’s empowerment and the need for urgent, coordinated action to ensure that gender equality becomes a reality for women worldwide. The General Assembly on Sunday to bring the MUN conference to a close, consisted of two debates: ‘Gender Pay Gap’ and ‘Equitable Access to Sustainable Technology and Resources for Developing Nations’.
Tiffin performed incredibly across the weekend, earning 5 individual awards and 2 school-wide awards:
