Despite cloggy underfoot conditions, the House Relay was a great event. Atharv helped set a new course record of 4 minutes 25 seconds on the first leg, only to see the record reset in a storming last leg for Raleigh from Pancho. The 3rd fastest on the day was Louis E who clocked 4.44 on Leg 3 for Raleigh; a sub-5 min performance in this section was a great achievement which Marcus H also achieved for Scott in a time of 4.55.
Raleigh finished 1st, with performances by the above as well as Ethan O (5.01) and Ben J (5.03).
2nd was DW with a good opener from Oliver F (5.33) alongside dynamic performances of Chadi (5.22) and Yanis (5.05) to be completed by Joshua A who matched Yanis’s time .
3rd place went to Scott who, in addition to the above, had a strong return to form from Andrew T and a good second leg performance form Yasin A.
The Ladies Team event was an equally hard fought match with DW winning with a triumvirate of Rosie H, Lucy W and Amy G.
The 2nd team over the line was TN but with no team declaration to date, they may well be demoted unless declaration is made!
The 3rd team was Drake with Serena H, Rowan N and Alice G.
The fastest on the day was Amy Granger (5.40) followed by Sorcha MS (6.03) and Sophie B (6.17).
Other commendable performances were Rowan N (6.22) Margherita W (6.23) and the fastest opening lap for KM wen to Elena K 6.30
The Year 11 relay had a win for DW with a team of Hansen C, Rachit P, Finn T and Kai I-T.
2nd was Scott with the fastest Year 11 of the day in the opening leg being Lucas K 5.30.
3rd was TN with a great start by Harrison L.
The second fastest time set in this section was Hansen C (5.52).
Joint 3rd in 6 mins exactly was Rachit and Finn.
