The Tiffin run club sent a small, yet quality team, to the windswept Epsom Downs last weekend. Horses would have had trouble staying upright, so to run the course and have a 100% completion rate was impressive, especially as so many were on their Saturday debut.
The Juniors came 3rd on the first match and the Year 13s (U20) were winners. There was a certain balance to the results as Fredric placed 3rd; very impressive against club sides. The junior team, including new signing number 9 Anas, along with Jonathan were joined by the veteran praetorian guard, Arun. No team results are available as yet, but another 3rd looked a possibility. The senior U17 squad looked strong with Luke showing continued improvement in form. Elvin and Ivan were great alongside the impressive Haruki in the top ten of his age group ahead of the nearly equally fast Struan who was top 10 in the U15 section.
The U20 Year 13 squad had a debut from Omer with strong man Akaran powering around the course. Andrew returned to form with a Co-captains performance in organising the side with non-running team manager Cathal.
The performance of the day was an impressive win for the other Co-captain Atharv who looks in great shape. This led the school to what looks like another impressive victory for the U20 section.
