Bright and early on the 28th of June, the Tiffin Dance Company travelled to the Copper Box Arena in Wembley Park to take part in the London Youth Games. 15 schools from different London boroughs were selected to represent their district and we were chosen to represent Kingston upon Thames. After a prompt start, we watched some performances from other schools who had flamboyant costumes and they were all very talented. All the pieces had great choreography and it was very difficult for the judges to choose a winner. Then, we warmed up and got ready for our turn. We performed a breakdance/contemporary piece which had lots of different formations and levels. The host loved our dance so much that he decided to keep us on the stage to show off our moves. When our performance was completed, we were taken to an area above the stage. Here, we made smoothies with a bike and played a fun basketball game. After the competition had finished, we took part in a dance workshop and learnt some new styles of dance and had a lot of fun. Back at Stratford Station, we were given free ice creams which were enjoyed on the train journey back to Kingston.

We secured 6th place overall, well done to us!
