This week, our Mental Health Ambassadors, alongside Veronica (our School Health Link Practitioner) presented to Year 9 about the opportunity to become one of our new Mental Health Ambassadors.

Our current ambassadors shared what the role involves, the different activities and initiatives they are involved in, and, most importantly, why we do what we do — to raise awareness of mental health and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health across our school community.

Year 9 students now have the opportunity to apply for the role, with applications open until midday on 16th October.

Those selected will also have the exciting opportunity to attend our annual Mental Health Conference, bringing together schools across Kingston. The conference gives Mental Health Ambassadors the chance to meet other young people in similar roles, share ideas and experiences, and explore important topics around mental health.

This year, we are delighted to be hosting the conference on 18th November, and we are really looking forward to welcoming schools and ambassadors from across Kingston!
