Celebrating Our Students’ Outstanding GCSE Success

Today is a very special day for our school community as we celebrate an exceptional set of GCSE results – our best-ever GCSE results!

We are immensely proud of the Class of 2026 and everything they have achieved. These results represent a significant milestone for our school and are a wonderful reflection of the ambition, hard work, determination and resilience of our students.

They also build on the outstanding achievements celebrated at our recent A-level results day, making this a particularly special period for our whole school community. Together, these results demonstrate the strength of achievement across our school and reinforce our position as one of the top-performing schools in the country.

A remarkable achievement

Behind today’s headline figures are hundreds of individual stories of effort, perseverance and personal achievement.

These results have been built over years of learning, countless hours of revision and preparation, and the determination of our students to keep going when things became challenging. Today, they can see the reward for that commitment.

We want to offer our warmest congratulations to every member of the Class of 2026.

For some students, today brings exceptional grades and opens the door to exciting next steps. For others, their results represent a personal best, a significant achievement or the culmination of overcoming challenges along the way.

Every one of those achievements deserves to be celebrated.

Our best-ever GCSE results are an important reflection of the progress and success of this cohort. They demonstrate what can be achieved when talented and determined young people are supported by high expectations, excellent teaching and a strong community around them.

But while we are rightly proud of the results, we are even more proud of the young people behind them.

Throughout their GCSE journey, our students have shown resilience, maturity and determination. They have supported one another, responded to challenges and continued to work towards their goals. We hope they leave today with not only a collection of results they can be proud of, but also a lasting belief in what they are capable of achieving.

Continuing a year of exceptional achievement

Today’s GCSE results follow the excellent A-level results celebrated by our school community earlier this summer.

Together, these achievements make this a remarkable year for the school. They reflect the consistently high aspirations we have for our students and the commitment of our staff to helping every young person fulfil their potential.

A shared achievement

Results day is also an opportunity to recognise everyone who has played a part in helping our students reach this point.

We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teachers and Associate Staff. Their expertise, encouragement and commitment have made an enormous difference to our students throughout their time at school.

We are equally grateful to our parents, carers and families for the support they have provided, particularly during the demanding periods of revision and examinations. Their encouragement, reassurance and belief in our students have been invaluable.

Most importantly, we want to thank our students themselves. They have worked hard, faced challenges and kept going. They deserve every moment of today’s celebration.

Looking ahead

While today is about celebrating what has been achieved, it is also the beginning of a new chapter, and we are excited to see our students take their next steps.

Whatever their journey, we hope they take with them the confidence, resilience and determination they have developed during their time with us.

To the Class of 2026: congratulations once again. We are exceptionally proud of every one of you.

Enjoy today, celebrate your achievements and look forward to everything that comes next. Your journey is only just beginning.
