Once again, heavy rain led to the cancellation of several junior weekend fixtures. However, our senior teams were able to take to the field midweek, travelling away to KGS and ACS Cobham, where they produced a number of impressive performances.

The 1XI showed outstanding resilience away at KGS, mounting a superb comeback from 3–0 down to secure a 5–3 victory. Captain George D led by example, scoring a fine goal and earning a well-deserved Man of the Match award.

On Wednesday, the 1XI followed this up with an exciting 2–2 draw, with Daniel B delivering an excellent performance and scoring both goals for the side.

The 2XI were unfortunate not to come away with more from their fixtures. They narrowly lost 3–2 in a match they controlled for long periods, with Mikel and Rishi standing out. At ACS Cobham, the team produced a much-improved display, drawing 0–0 in a game full of positives and chances. Xavier and Nikolas impressed throughout, while Zayd produced an outstanding goal-line clearance to preserve the clean sheet.

The U16A team enjoyed a dominant afternoon against KGS, recording a convincing 8–0 victory. Seni, Shayan and Nyill all scored braces in an excellent team performance.

Climbing

Away from team fixtures, a special congratulations goes to Paul B (Year 9), who has been offered a place on the 2026 England Climbing Development Programme in both Boulder and Lead disciplines following national trials in December. This represents the highest level of performance in Great Britain climbing for his age group and is a remarkable achievement.

Well done to all students who represented the school this week, demonstrating resilience, skill and commitment despite challenging weather conditions.
