It has been another fantastic week of school sport, with our pupils continuing to display great skill, determination and teamwork across rugby and netball. From thrilling fixtures against tough opposition to tournament triumphs and first-time appearances, there has been much to celebrate.
The 1st XV were narrowly beaten by London Oratory on Saturday in a close-fought encounter, showing real cohesion and spirit throughout. Rahul, Minjun, and George W, on his debut, were the standout performers. On Wednesday, the team took on Wimbledon College in the 3rd round of the National Vase and, despite another tight loss, Minjun continued his fine form.
The 2nd XV also faced London Oratory and, although they came up just short, it was an encouraging team performance. Dmitriy earned recognition as the standout player for his determination and consistency.
This week the whole netball squad took to Ealing to compete against St Benedict’s. We went with a guaranteed win of post-match tea but came home with much more than that. Well done for all three squads for winning their matches with conviction.

Players of the Match were Bianca, Adie and Abby, who each demonstrated composure, teamwork and accuracy under pressure. St Benedict’s staff were quick to commend our shooters, noting how rarely they missed a shot which was a testament to their training and focus.
A huge congratulations to all involved for what has been a highly successful season so far. Your continued effort, enthusiasm and sporting spirit make the school immensely proud.

Back to rugby, the U16As were unfortunate to lose in the final moments of a closely contested game. Despite the result, there were strong performances from Tife, Hughie and Josh S.
The U15As recorded a convincing bowl victory over Thamesmead, with Jude standing out for his efforts. The U15Bs maintained their unbeaten run with another solid win against London Oratory. Harry J and Yahya both impressed with outstanding individual performances.
The U14Bs produced one of the standout results of the week, recording a commanding 60–7 victory over London Oratory. Mr Baker praised the squad for a strong all-round team performance, with Atlas scoring his first ever try.
The U13As took part in the Borough Tournament on Monday and enjoyed a successful afternoon, winning all four of their matches. Mr Marley commended the entire team, with Adam J named his player of the day.
Friday saw six U12 fixtures take place, with over 70 boys proudly representing the school in 6 different sides. The F team made a winning debut in their first ever competitive match, a memorable moment for all involved. Standout players across the year group included Jemal, Hitesh and Ethan Z. Earlier in the week, the U12As competed in the Borough Tournament at Richard Challoner, winning four matches in impressive fashion. Special mention goes to Jonathan, Alexandre, Tobias and Arthur E for their excellent performances.
It has been a truly inspiring week for Tiffin sport as we go into half term. From first wins to tournament triumphs and narrow defeats that showed real heart, our pupils continue to embody the best of teamwork, dedication and school pride.
