Last weekend, TSBC sent 11 boats up to Wallingford Long Distance Sculls, a 4km season “opener” where schools start to put together their initial selections for the year.
Tiffin stormed the J18 senior sculls, coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd, a huge credit to Lucas W, Jesper Nand Tom N (in that order). Not to be outdone, our J16 double of Ben C and Will C roared home with a fine first place, just ahead of Thomas C and Calan C in second place. In the distance were Abingdon School, St Pauls and other notables.
There was also good representation from our girls’ senior and Year 10 girls’ squad (from TGS) who produced a solid mid-pack performance giving the squad something to build on.
Good results, great rowing.
