Rokeby Sixes
On a sun-drenched day with soaring temperatures, a squad of seven set off to compete in the prestigious tournament with all the top preparatory schools in Surrey and the surrounding area. Opposition teams boast numerous county players.
We came runner-up in our group having won two games convincingly and losing narrowly to last year’s winners, Feltonfleet School. Key contributions were made by all players with all five outfield players having to bowl one over. Nirmay A, Atharv B, Aryan M and Armaan D all starred with the bat. Ben P and Atharv B also starred with the ball.
The Semi-final came along versus Newland House, and we convincingly despatched them, winning by thirty-one runs in a five-over game, batting and bowling with superb attacking intent.
Then the final against Feltonfleet, the victors in our group game. Batting first, we amassed fifty runs in five overs, our lowest total of the tournament. Armaan continuing his fine form with the bat alongside Ben P. The latter bowled the first over for five runs, a brilliant start. Atharv then bowled an over, conceding six runs and now Tiffin was in the driving seat. Come down to the last over with the opposition requiring twelve runs for victory, and up steps Avyan A, wicket first ball and then the opponent could only manage to hit ones and twos with some superb ground fielding from everyone, putting their bodies on the line. We won by five runs in the end. Only our second victory in the tournament, the boys must feel proud of their achievement. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!
It was a great squad effort, and the team spirit was exceptional.

Inter-Year Group Matches
The Cricket season drew to a close in brilliant fashion this past weekend with a vibrant series of inter-year group matches, bringing together players from across the school. With over one hundred boys taking part, it was a celebration of the sport, the progress made this season, and the strong sense of community within the Cricket programme.
The fixtures were not only competitive and full of spirit but also provided the perfect stage for the end-of-season prizegiving, where individual and team achievements were recognised. It was a fantastic way to round off a busy and successful term of cricket.
This special day also marked a heartfelt send-off for the wonderful Tim McCann, who will be leaving the Tiffin coaching staff at the end of this year. Tim has been a hugely influential figure in the Cricket setup, inspiring countless players with his passion, knowledge, and unwavering support. His departure will be deeply felt, and the entire Cricket community extends a massive thank you for all he has contributed over the years.

As one chapter closes, another exciting one begins. Yesterday, our senior boys departed for their much-anticipated tour to Sri Lanka, where they will play four competitive matches. It promises to be a memorable experience on and off the field, and we wish them the very best of luck as they represent the school abroad.
A huge thank you to all players, staff, and supporters for making this cricket season one to remember. Here’s to a successful tour and to many more seasons of Cricketing success to come.
