It was another outstanding weekend of sport for Tiffin, with Cricket and Tennis teams delivering a string of impressive victories across multiple age groups and competitions.
Cricket
Friday Afternoon
The weekend began on a high as the U12C and U12D Cricket teams both recorded dominant 10-wicket wins on Friday evening, setting the tone for what would be a hugely successful run of results.
Saturday Showdown
Saturday saw a busy day of 12 Cricket fixtures against Lancing College and Reading Blue Coat, with some standout performances:
- The U18A team cruised to a 9-wicket win over Lancing College, showcasing a composed and clinical display.
- The U15As and U15Bs both mirrored that result, also sealing 9-wicket wins, highlighting the depth and quality of Tiffin’s middle age groups.
- The U13B team impressed with a strong performance against Reading Blue Coat, setting a commanding total of 144 runs, and then bowling the opposition out for just 60.
- The U13Cs won a thrilling contest by 22 runs, defending a big score of 172 in a high-scoring match.
- U12B and U12C teams kept the momentum going, with 8-wicket and 6-wicket wins respectively, showing real promise in the foundation years.
Monday Momentum Continues
The winning streak continued into Monday as:
- The U14A team chased down a target to beat Wimbledon College by 4 wickets, after posting 133 runs.
- Both the U13A and U13B teams delivered comprehensive wins, defeating Wimbledon College by 101 runs and 88 runs, respectively — dominant all-round performances with bat and ball.
Tennis
It wasn’t just Cricket where Tiffin found success — our Tennis teams also delivered:
- The U12 Tennis team enjoyed a clean sweep with a 4-0 win over Claremont Fan Court School.
- The U14s continued the form with a win, rounding off a stellar weekend of results for the school across multiple sports.
