Over the Bank Holiday weekend, Tiffin’s rowers were out in force attending not one, but two competitions! The first, Chiswick Regatta, took place on the Saturday, quickly followed by the Scullery at Eton Dorney Lake on Monday.

At Chiswick Regatta, TSBC fielded their biggest entry of boys and girls in recent years. There were many quality local crews with some tight racing across the year groups on a challenging tideway course, but both the Senior boys and Junior 16 girls won their events to pick up some silverware.

On Bank Holiday Monday, the club travelled to Eton Dorney Lake.  As always, it’s good to be in the mix at top level national level competition and our crews raced hard.  Whilst some narrowly missed the qualification mark, we were delighted to reach the B Final of Championship Quads (standing at 8th in the UK).  Unfortunately, the finals were called off due to poor weather conditions, but there was lots of promising rowing and TSBC has lots to look forward to in the upcoming weeks before National Schools at the end of the month.
