Year 9 Surrey 7s at Caterham School: The Year 9 boys had a fantastic day at the Surrey 7s tournament held at Caterham School. They put in a stellar performance, winning 3 out of their 4 group-stage matches beating Downsend, Christ Hospital, Claremont, and Caterham, as well as beating St James and Ibstock in the knockout stages. This saw them qualify for the Plate Final against KCS. The boys played with passion and determination throughout the day, and despite a narrow loss in the final, they demonstrated superb team spirit and skill. A special mention goes to Kai, who was in outstanding form, scoring an impressive 10 tries throughout the tournament. His individual brilliance was a key factor in the team’s success, and his energy on the pitch was infectious.

Senior 7s at Old Reigatians: The Senior 7s competition at Old Reigatians also proved to be a day to remember. The boys showed great commitment, securing 2 wins from their 3 group-stage matches beating City of London Freemans and Royal Alexander & Albert. Unfortunately, they came up short in the quarter-finals against Wallington Boys, but they can hold their heads high after a competitive tournament. The team’s effort and dedication were evident, and although the quarter-final result was a tough one to swallow, it was still a strong overall performance. Special mentions to Marcus for his outstanding efforts in attack and defence.
