A select group spurred on by Mr Duffy returned to a more local competition on Sunday: the Epsom Downs League.
The juniors ran well against trained club teams, with an impressive Downs League debut from Dylan K. The seniors were on top form, with Pancho P claiming victory in fine style, just a day after his remarkable run for the country. He was commended by the principal Surrey team manager for his outstanding performance. Oliver F also looked impressive on his debut and Josh A looked to have continued his upward trajectory. Placing as a top 3 team in this category was a fantastic achievement.
The Year 13 team, with Andrew T joining the scoring team of Sebastian MZ and Omer T, meant that we won our 3rd iteration of the race this season. With one race to go, a strong showing again in the 4th race will clinch us the U20 title. Against clubs, that is an incredible achievement.
Once again, a great thank you to the Team Manager, Cathal L, who impressed again with his organisational skills.
