Mental Health Assembly
This week, we had the wonderful opportunity to present a Mental Health Ambassadors recruitment assembly alongside our School Health Practitioner, Veronika. The aim of this was to share our experiences as Mental Health Ambassadors and to encourage Year 9s to sign themselves up and join our team.

We engaged the Year 9s by speaking about the importance of mental health – a crucial, yet often underrepresented aspect of our lives.

With the support from Miss Stone and Mrs McNair, we will continue to encourage more participation by organising additional presentations and events to raise awareness of mental health issues. We believe that by fostering an open dialogue, we are beginning to create a supportive environment where Tiffin students can feel comfortable discussing mental well-being which elevates our understanding of one another.

Next month, we have arranged a series of assemblies around the school to highlight men’s health, specifically looking at men’s mental health as we are aware of the stigma in this subject. We plan to raise awareness of Movember and the fantastic work they do. We will do this by fundraising but also continuing to speak out about it during tutor times.
