40 Year 8 students were treated to a theatrical delight last week when they went up to the West End to watch the acclaimed Broadway musical Hadestown. The students went on an unforgettable journey to the Underworld and back looking at two mythic love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone.
The students were bowled away by the music, acting, staging and special effects. I would like to thank them for their enthusiasm and energy, as well as their forbearance with the terrible traffic on the way home! My thanks also go to Mx Bradley, Mrs Cadogan and Mrs Jones for accompanying the trip.
