With fixtures coming thick and fast now there is lots to report on after this week’s fixtures. Some stand out performances from the 1st XV, with two wins and a draw so far holding onto the undefeated hopes along with year 14As as they continue an undefeated season with three wins so far.
1st XV put on a classy display of rugby against a strong Windsor boys on Saturday, with some real quality in attack and great resilience in defence. With a hard fought game, they had to settle for a draw which reflected the game well. Moving onto a great show of defensive skill put on mid-week against Gordons, resulting in a great performance for the boys to hold out a 19 – 15 win in the Daily Mail Trophy.
2nd XV are still yet to find their first win of the season despite some good performances in both games so far, with Saturdays result against Windsor finishing with a narrow loss and a similar result from the mid-week game against the 1stXV of Saint Cecilia’s.
U16As bounced back from last week’s loss with a great win against Richard Challoner, putting on a resilient performance to get over the line with an 8 – 5 win.
U16Bs have had an unfortunate start to the season with a tough loss against Windsor despite showing some great rugby.
U15As had a great bounce back from last week’s loss by putting 26 points on Richard Challoner on Saturday. They will look to continue this for into next week’s game against Halliford.
U15Bs put on a great show against Richard Challoner in their first outing of the season. With only one try conceded it was a great defensive performance. However, with 45 points scored the praise must go for the boy’s attacking performance.
U14As continue their solid performance this season and are now 3 – 0 so far. With a great win against Richard Challoner scoring 45 points followed by another 59 points on Monday against Dunnottar in the national cup.
U14Bs didn’t manage start the season with a win despite a great first outing against Richard Challoner with a tightly contested 35 – 42 loss. But they look to bounce back this week against Halliford.
U13As couldn’t manage to continue their winning start after a tough game against Richard Challoner. We can hope this is a small blip in the season for them and they can get back to their winning ways.
U13Bs had a great start to the season with a win against Richard Challoner. A tightly contested game with a close win by one try, as they look to continue this good form.
Pancho put on a great performance at Saucony English Cross-Country National Championships in which he placed 39th and was the 2nd fastest in my team to achieve a team 3rd in England.

The netball 1st VII kicked off their season with a great win against Surbiton high school, with a very convincing 37 – 6 win. They hope to continue this form into the rest of the season.

The girls’ football team kicked off their season with an exciting performance that showcased the true spirit of teamwork and resilience. This year’s team, a dynamic mix of novices and seasoned players, came together brilliantly, supporting one another on and off the field.
Throughout the tournament, the team displayed impressive skills, coordination, and determination. They dominated the game against KGS, maintaining a lead for most of the match. Unfortunately, in a dramatic turn of events, KGS managed to slip in a goal in the last second, resulting in a 2-2 draw.
Up front, Amy, Joud, and Lara were notable for their relentless attacking play, constantly putting pressure on the opposition. Our defence, led by newcomers Addi and Claudia, proved to be a formidable barrier, showing great strength and composure throughout the game.
Overall, it was a fantastic start to the season, filled with promising moments and valuable lessons. The team’s spirit and camaraderie were clear for all to see, setting a solid foundation for the games ahead. We look forward to seeing this team’s growth and continued success as the season progresses!
