Double congratulations are in order for two Tiffin athletes!
Congratulations to Ava J who has been selected to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland at next month’s European Athletics U18 Championships in Slovakia in the Heptathlon. We wish Ava the best of luck for 18th-21st July.
Congratulations to Connor F who has been selected to run for Surrey in his second Senior Athletics Championships as an U18. Connor cemented his place in the team at the British Milers Club World Athletics Challenge in Loughborough on 22nd June, clocking a new school record of 1.50.60 for the 800m. Connor will be running for Surrey in the ESSA Track and Field Championships at Birmingham Alexander Stadium on 12th-13th July. Last year he ran the 1500m and did well in reaching the final a year young. This year, he has dropped down in distance following his two successful runs at Loughborough and the Highgate Harriers meeting as mentioned in an earlier newsletter.
