A tremendous opportunity to be part of Tiffin School

We may not have an immediate vacancy to suit your experience and qualifications but we are always looking for teachers, in all disciplines, to join this large boys’ grammar school. Whilst exam results are of course important to us, Tiffin School is about so much more. We want our boys, in the words of our Vision statement, to “engage, aspire and excel”. We encourage them to participate in all areas of the wider curriculum, be that sport, music, or drama. The opportunity for staff to be involved in the extensive wider opportunities, designed to foster the all-round development of the boys, as well as the chance to teach their subject to a high level are key attractions of teaching at Tiffin. We have a large, committed, well qualified and happy staff. We’d like to hear from anyone who aspires to become a part of one of the most popular and successful schools in London. We will screen applicants by applying our standard selection criteria and, where these are met, we undertake to interview you, whether or not we have a position to be filled. In the event of a successful interview but no immediate vacancy, you will be signed up to a register of aspiring Tiffin Teachers so that when appropriate vacancies do arise, we can come straight to you with either a job offer or a short-list interview.

Here are some of the key reasons Tiffin is a great School in which to work:

•  a vibrant and friendly staff, with a diverse mix of teachers and associate staff
“it is easy to take the school for granted, but what has kept me here are the superb
opportunities and the stimulus many of the pupils provide” (current teacher)

•  very bright and able students who are motivated and eager to learn, in an environment of
    excellent behaviour
“as our son departs the school he certainly has an exceptional set of qualifications in his
pocket, but he carries with him so much more from his time as a Tiffinian: a thirst for
learning and an enquiring mind; a keen sense of self-identify; strong peer friendships as
well as a bucket-full of happy memories from his schooldays” (ex-parent)

•  an opportunity to teach your subject to a high level
“as I depart for University I would be very grateful if you could pass on my thanks to all the
teachers who have helped and supported me over the last seven years and allowed me to
make the most of all the fantastic opportunities I have been given” (ex-pupil)

•  a large Sixth Form giving most teachers the opportunity to teach A Level as well as 11-16
•  a commitment to professional development, eg, part-time study for Education Masters of
    Research (MResEd) at Kingston University
•  a location close to Kingston town centre, and excellent public transport links to Central
London, minutes away from the train and bus stations, and close to Richmond and Bushy
Parks and the Surrey countryside. Our sports ground is beautifully situated with the River
Thames and Hampton Court Palace very close by
•  benefits include: season ticket loan/cycle to work scheme/salary advance scheme for a rental

We offer a structured and supportive induction programme, excellent CPD opportunities and the chance for you to develop your portfolio in the academic, pastoral or whole school arena.

Visits to the school are welcome and encouraged. Please get in touch if you would like to arrange this. We have also recently been reviewed by The Good Schools Guide. Please see our website to read the review.
