1st XI Cricket
Captain of School Cricket this term is Muhunthan Harinath of England Under 18s and Surrey 2nd. XI. Vice Captains are Ali Watkins and Bilal Khan.
The 1st.XI celebrated its first win of the season on Saturday against Trinity School. Asked to bat first on a rain freshened wicket, the Tiffin opening pair of Bilal Khan and Kushal Gor added a well crafted opening partnership of 50 before the middle order pushed the score along as conditions started to ease.
Bilal Khan finished with 31, Kushal Gor 45, Kumara Mallikaaratchi, 28 and Ali Watkins 50 to allow a declaration at 209 for 7. In reply, Trinity looked strong but all the Tiffin bowlers took valuable wickets, supported by fielding that has been nothing short of brilliant in the 2 matches this season. Muhunthan Harinath who has scored 50 runs in his first 2 innings mopped up the Trinity tail on Saturday with 6 for 30 to give Tiffin a handsome 52 run victory
