    Oratorio

The Tiffin Oratorio meets on Tuesday evenings (7.30 9.30 pm, School Hall) during the Autumn Term, to prepare a concert given at the end of November with professional orchestra and soloists, conducted by Simon Toyne. The choir consists of over 200 sopranos, altos, tenors and basses, who are current students of the school, staff, parents, friends and members of the local community, and are joined in the final week by 70 of the younger boys, who have rehearsed during the school day. For the larger scale works, the choir is accompanied by the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra; for Classical works by the London Mozart Players; and for Baroque works by the period-instrument Sinfonia Britannica.Flyer for Haydn The Creation
