The Tiffin School 2019 Gym Appeal

Construction started July 2019

At the School’s Kingston site, although we have a large sports hall, students are constrained by inadequate changing facilities and an outdated gym. It was built as a war-time ammunition store in the 1940s and is now literally falling down and far too small for the number of students who wish to use it.

Other methods of donating (bank transfer, PayPal, ParentPay, cheque) are described in the donation form which is linked below.

The School has been given the go-ahead to build a fantastic two-storey extension to the sports centre. This will provide our students with a new gym, 2 new fitness suites and modern changing rooms.
Although the School has secured a government grant of £1.9 million towards the cost of the planned works, the School needs to raise a further £200,000 to complete the work. I am hopeful that with the generosity of the Tiffin Community we will achieve this.
As Head, and as a member of the Tiffin School staff for the past 25 years, I care deeply for our wonderful school and am immensely proud of all its current and former students’ achievements.
Every little helps, so whatever you can afford to give will make a huge difference and will go directly to the project through The Tiffin School Foundation, allowing future generations of Tiffinians to benefit from the new facility.

Tiffin alumnus, Alec Stewart OBE, has sent a message of support for our Appeal

I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to contribute to a project that will make a big difference to current and future Tiffin students.
Others in the past helped me through their generosity. Their gifts made possible the purchase of Grists, the cricket nets and all the other facilities that were such an integral part of my experiences at Tiffin School. In the same way, these new gym facilities will become an integral part of the students’ experience at the School.
I am proud to do my bit in giving back a little of what I have gained through Tiffin School and to leave a permanent record of that gratitude.

Tiffin School 21C Building Project

I am delighted that, through the generosity of the Tiffin Community, we received enough donations to complete the building and it is now a vibrant part of the School. We have replaced the 1948 pre-cast concrete canteen with a superb kitchen and dining area, as well as five additional classrooms.
