Welcome to the Tiffin School website.
 April 2010

The website will provide you with details about the school and all the activities that represent the life of Tiffin school. The last term illustrates the variety and challenge that the students and staff have experienced. From the playing fields at Grists where the boys face strong competition in Rugby, the regular demands on the boys rowing on the Thames at Canbury Gardens to the success of ‘West Side Story’, the performance of Haydn’s Creation at the Rose Theatre and our boys dancing at Sadler’s Wells, the pace of the school encourages and involves students and staff seven days a week.

I have come realise that this is the essence of the wider opportunities that are offered at Tiffin. These match the diversity of clubs and events tied to the curriculum subjects. In the Spring term we will celebrate International week in January, the beginning of the options sessions for Year 9 students and a series of evening events for parents to cover Year 9 Options, Year 12 Higher Education evening, a series of parents’ consultation sessions and a drugs information evening for parents that the Parents’ Association will be hosting.

The parent organisations that support the school that include the Tiffin Parents’ Association, Friends of Tiffin Music, Tiffin Parents’ Rugby Association and the Tiffin Boat Club are examples of the commitment that our parents give to the school. The Tiffin Education Fund supports the school in its many activities and we appreciate how much our parents do to help us provide for all the activities that the school can offer to the students. With the energy and hard work of the staff, Tiffin can provide a range of opportunities to its students beyond what most schools are capable of offering.

The website offers you a window in to the school and through our newsletters we try to illustrate the variety of events that we trust will exemplify Tiffin School as it moves in to 2010.
